Project x/52: Week 8: Fang en melodi (Catch a song)

"Feel"- ©Jelrik Nylund-van Berkel
This weeks theme for the x/52 project was "catch a song". Easy that one, I thought but... There have been written songs about almost everything. Will I first find a song for so take a picture or shall I take a picture and then find a song? The solution came from a strange side. I got a phone call from the Ullevål University Hospital because there was an acute lack of thrombocytes. I am a donor of thrombocytes (blodplater) and sure I wanted to donate some of mine so that I can save other lives. I was thinking about the good things coming out of my veins when suddenly Robbie Williams "feel" crossed my mind.
The song can be seen both from the side of the donor and the receiver.

Come on hold my hand,
I wanna contact the living.
Not sure I understand,
This role I’ve been given.

I sit and talk to god
And he just laughs at my plans,
My head speaks a language, I don’t understand.

(chorus)
I just wanna feel real love,
Feel the home that I live in.
’cause I got too much life,
Running through my veins, going to waste.

I don’t wanna die,
But I ain’t keen on living either.
Before I fall in love,
I’m preparing to leave her.
I scare myself to death,
That’s why I keep on running.
Before I’ve arrived, I can see myself coming.

Synnfjell by day and night

Today, I am in the Norwegian mountains with splendid weather. Sunny day and open sky at night. It's full moon so possible to take some night shots in an icy cold night (-27 degrees C). This is very basic. My camera on a box, building under it. No stative makes one creative. Enjoy the images

Project 52uker: Theme of the week: "Lek" (Play)

Rockin' the world © Jelrik Nylund-van Berkel
This weeks theme, chosen by Stein-Evert was "lek", which means play. This is my son Linus, almost 6 years old. He likes rock music and everything around it. For christmas, he got a rock guitar and he just loves making a lot of noise with it. Sometimes he organises rock concert in his sleeping room. We need to pay for our ticket in and his little sister can come in for free because she helps with the building of the scene...

This picture shows his joy in roleplaying a rock star and also gave me as a photographer playtime with the background. When he plays on his guitar, he is a big rock star, rockin' all over the world. The public is laying at his feet, that's why the proportions are so giant :-)

I learned a lot this week with this theme. Thank you for the challenge Stein-Evert!

Other images: "Lek" (Play)

I had the choice between two nice pictures this week. This was my other picture. My daughter, Luna (the name means "moon") loves to go in the room of her bigger brother, looking for toys. She loves the pocket light and was playing with it. It looked like a sci-fi image "don't go to the light-but it's so beautiful"... So i made a spacy background. Maybe she is looking for aliens with her light. Only she can see them, using her light

Week 6/52 - 52uker project: Theme Streetphotography

This weeks theme was chosen by Line Storlid and I simpelthen loved it. It was a theme which wasn't reachable for me at first sight but after thinking, trial and fail, I must admit...I just love streetphotography

This picture has been taken in a hurry in Vigelandsparken, Oslo a day where the snow was falling and the whole city was chaos. Three french touristgirls heading for the bus...

There was a freezing cold wind and the only thing she could do was covering her face safe in her clothes. But so curious to the world outside...just must look

U5 Stillhet

(kilde: www.52uker.org/about)

Velkommen til å følge med!
